SAA COMMUNITY FORUM, AGM, AND SPEAK UP: A CALL TO ACTION PANEL DISCUSSION
Join us at our Annual General Meeting and Community Forum. This event is a great opportunity to network with other artists and arts organizations. It is also an opportunity to express your thoughts on the issues that matter most to help our Board of Directors shape our future initiatives.

11 AM | Saturday, September 21, 2013 | The Refinery | 609 Dufferin Avenue |Saskatoon, SK

The forum begins at 11:00 am followed by a catered lunch and the AGM.Following the AGM the SAA will be hosting a panel discussion entitled Speak Up: A Call to Action. The panel will feature three panelists discussing their successes with advocacy and sharing tips on speaking to elected officials. Please RSVP to help us plan for catering.

FINAL DRAFT OF DESIGN REGINA NOW POSTED
The final draft of Design Regina, Regina's new Official Community Plan, is now posted on Design Regina for public review. It will be present to Regina City Council for approval on Tuesday, August 20, 2013. Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to share their thoughts on what they like about the Plan or what changes they would like to see. The process is outlined on the City of Regina website here. 



   

SIMINOVITCH PRIZE ANNOUNCES UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO AND RBC FOUNDATION
The Siminovitch Prize in Theatre announced new partnerships with the University of Toronto and the RBC Foundation to support Canada's largest theatre award, the 2013 Siminovitch Prize in Theatre. The Siminovitch Prize will be awarded October 21, 2013 at Hart House Theatre at the University of Toronto.

The deadline for nominations is Monday, September 16, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. EST. For nomination guidelines and to download the nomination form, please visit siminovitchprize.com.



   

2014 SASKATCHEWAN BOOK AWARDS CALLS FOR ENTRIES
Submissions will be received for the book awards from September 3, 2013 to November 1, 2013. The criteria for each award can be found online. Submissions can be sent to:

For more information including the mandate and criteria of each award along with entry forms and a full description of the jurying process, visit the Saskatchewan Book Awards Website. Submissions will not be received until September 3, 2013, with a deadline of November 1, 2013.



   

SASKATOON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA SEEKS DIRECTOR OF ARTISTIC OPERATIONS
The Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra is advertising for the position of the Director of Artistic Operations. Application deadline is July 31st, for more information; please visit the SSO’s website.
